About Virginia Hey

Im in love with the beauty of nature ... Im not ashamed to drool at a majestic sunset!

"I want to know how everything ticks, what makes it work.. Im a curious person. A loyal friend, a HOPELESS old fashioned romantic when faced with another hopeless romantic whos heart falls into mine.. very much a loner when Im alone."

Before exploring natural therapies studies Virginia went to art school, modeled & then went the way of TV performing arts in Australia as her primary career..   "Im arty.. but not a radical eccentric.. (well, not TOO eccentric).. I know who I am and like my own space.. Im not pretentious I dont think, hope not.. Im naturally quiet and a bit shy, but have been known to swing into a bubbly sparkly extrovert when the mood grabs me.

Virginia began her life long passion for fragrances as a child, childhood bathtime was always about making flower leis from Frangipani blossoms from the tree in the family garden. Virginia would then sit in the blossom infused warm water adorned with the freshly made flower leis. Hence a childs version of aromatherapy was born.. Perfume design became a life long passion and fever of Virginias, and to this day the love of her life. Virginia has become a gifted fragrance and candle/candle packaging designer.

Virginia also discovered meditation as a child. In the 60's and 70's Virginia explored many modalities of meditation, learning via countless instructional books devoured by a young hungry mind driven to find the elusive connection between the physical self and the spiritual self.

As an adult, in between attending art school and working in the dramatic arts, Virginia continued to pursue the study of meditation and many modalities of natural healing. She pursued this study her entire life to date. Virginia is a believer that meditation is the key to life, the key to everlasting beauty, from the inside out, and a key that links your inner environment with the healing beauty of nature.

Her career in front of the camera started as a fashion model whilst she was attending a Fine Arts diploma course, soon she found herself snapped-up by casting folk and began her acting career opposite Mel Gibson in Mad Max 2 (Road Warrior), this led to a long career as an award nominated actress, with her last role as a priest in the award winning USA TV series "Farscape". Virginia used her "public spotlight" to bring attention to environmental and alternative health and beauty regimes in the 90's, and was a regular guest on Australian chat shows, which led her to begin teaching health, nutrition, and beauty reigimes during her 37 year career in the public eye.

Virginia attends scores of conventions around the world talking about her acting work which has spanned 21 years, but as time went on, most of the questions she was asked were about her meditation techniques and fragrances and soy candle crafting. Virginia now teaches meditation all over the world at the conventions she appears at and continues to perfect her gorgeous soy candle and fragrance designs, and is excited to launch her signature line, never been seen before Virginia Hey Couture, March 2010.

100 bits & bobs about me

1.

Im a giant person. 5ft 10 1/2". Scandinavian decent. People think Im teeny when they see photos of me and nearly die when then they meet me.. It wasn't fun at the first school dance, all the Catholic girls had to sit on one side of the hall, and all the Catholic boys on the other, boys would come over to the girls side and ask for a dance..(cruel of the nuns to devise this torture for the poor boys, the room became the arena of humiliation if a girl said "no" and they had to cross back over it in defeat)... I only got asked by one 16 year old, and when I uncoiled myself and stood up to my 5ft 9 height at that stage, the pimply weedy 5 ft 3 boy ran away.. Needless to say I danced by myself the entire night.. hence the birth of independence. LOL

2

Most of the time Im pretty still and centred. When Im very very happy and excited about somethiung, well, ever see a Labrador puppy that gets all manic when thrilled, and the tail wags so much that it knocks everything off the coffee table? Well, thats me when Im very joyous! Im clumsy.

3

Im VERY girly and adore the ceremony of dressing to full feminine glory. I adore very very feminine wear, and adore looking pretty for my man.

4

I long for five things..

1) To play a character who is a cross between a warrior and a Shaman...

2) to have world success with my beloved, gorgeous hi-end candle and perfume line..

3) To hold Meditation Seminars as well as the 2hr classes that I teach..

4) To step into the heart of a hopeless romantic who has eyes for only me. To marry one day and work with my beloved..

5) I long to help our poor Mother Earth and see some Peace and respect for all life..

5

Im a hopeless romantic. I adore the old fashioned art of being courted, chivalry, charm and elegance. Flowers and little notions of appreciation of my femininity is not a fantasy desire, its a requirement to make my heart sing..

6

Yes they are my own cheek bones, I didn't "buy" them! LOL

7

Cant say the same for the boobicles!

8

Mums nickname for me was "Gardenia"

9

School "friends" used to call me "Baby Huey"

10

Have 3 brothers (Arron, Peter and Graham) and a sister (Lorraine) and three grandmothers.

11

Ive lived in the public eye my entire adult life (since I was nineteen)..

12

When Im traveling away from home working at a convention, please leave me alone before I have my breakfast. I need time and solitude to rev up to speed. My transition time. Thats the only time Im "grumpy" for no reason, so watch-out! LOL

13

Im sickeningly jolly when Im at home before breakfast.

14

Im not a late night person these days.

15

I dont drink or smoke or take drugs. (Might have a sip of alcohol special occasions)

16

Im NOT cutting my hair short again.. and thats that! ALL hairdressers want to lop it off, (some cruel gene they all have! LOL..) I love it to my waist, I think its sexy, and will keep it there as long as it will grow on my head! LOVE love love long hair on men.. did I say love? Love love love..

17

I got my Greencard .. which is BEIGE!! Huh?

18

I was raised and educated in both Sydney Australia and London England. Ahh, that explains it..

19

Youre always asking me what my "type" of guy is ... well... um.. OK.. I like artistic, quirky, romantic, soulful, spiritual, chivalrous, faithful, honest, interesting guys with exotic twinkly eyes only for me... A mix of John Cusak and Johnny Depp would sum up my "visual type" perfectly! Maybe a bit of young Clark Gable thrown in! Tall, with a grounded energy like my dads. A soppy romantic who's fantasy matches mine to find foreverafter with one person..

20

I cant live far from water.. sea or lake or pool.. water soothes me..

21

My favorite flowers are Gardenia, Tuberose and Casablanca Lily. Love Fresias and Narcissus too. I adore really heavily perfumed flowers. (Babies Breath and Carnations just dont do it for me... too tweeee.. know what I mean?)

22

I'll never lie, ever.. well, except about my age.. but will never lie about anything else, Im VERY honest and would never ever lie or do anything devious, its just simply not me. I have the opposite problem, I speak from my heart way to openly! There is NO edit button.

23

Was married for 6 months in the UK when I was 21. Would love to mary again.

24

Still have the same best friend Ive had since 19. Mari Vendrame. She lives in Steak n Kidney. (Sydney)

25

LOVE Monty Python humour. (fart) More tea Vicar?. (burp) And the address?

26

My real name is Lakreesha Festiva.

27

Ive become a bit claustrophobic since having to endure a full plaster head cast twice for my character 'Zhaan" in the TV show Farscape. It absolutely horrified me and the side-effects haunt me. Its like being buried alive in hot concrete!

28

I love homemade Anzac biscuits. (Australian cookies)

29

I have been meditating since I was about 13. I need it to keep me serene. They say "you teach what you need most!" .. Must get back into meditating.. I am hoping to be holdig daily kick-start" meditations at Ascended living in venice starting soon, that will be so perfect for me, and for all the folk who attend.. a lovely way to get balanced for each day.

30

I cant play tennis nor hit a baseball. Im not particularly into sports. I'll watch Dressage or Polo with you, but Im not into footy or baseball or loud stadium sports.

31

I used to LOVE dancing and would take classes every day in Covent Gardens at the Floral St Dance Centre with Arlene Phillips as my teacher. I wasn't very good, but I LOVED it! My other dream is to take some dance classes with a loved one. Id be in Heaven, Heaven, heaven. Crave to get back in touch with dance. A definate fave thing to do together. Hope my future soulmate reads this page to get to know what i love..

32

Just kidding.. my real name is Virginia Hey! LOL

33

LOVE animals and the sea, and fountains and nature..

34

Im a big wous when it comes to swimming in the DEEP sea! Im afraid of the deep dark water! (Shark territory in Australia!) DONT take my Kyaking.. see? I dont even know how to spell it! LOL..

35

My toes are like little fat sausages. Bless them! My hands look a hundred from working so hard with them, manufacturing perfumes and candles by hand, hard work,. But I love them so much, they serve me well and provide such beauty for me.. Everytime I look at them I think to myself that I gave up the beaurty of my hands so I could provide you with products of such beauty that will take your breath away..

36

I can speak 4 languages .... and all of them are English! (Cockney, Aussie, American and Queens English) LOL

37

I once thought that a thong was a rubber sandal (flip flop), and was horrified when I heard two girls talking about their new "thongs" rubbing and chaffing their butt bits in the water when they went swimming!!!!!!!

38

Im a loner usually, out of a relationship, fiercely territorial, and Im quiet at home, (seriously), but have the ability to switch into extrovert easily, un-aided and quickly.. So I made a living out of that talent! LOL
I am bubbly at times, still all other times, stillness is my friend, very much so.. but I can be pushed to anger if the burdeon is large and hurts enough, just like everyone else I can be pushed to loose my temper, but I tend not to be pushed as fast or be hysterical screamingand shreaking like most other women.. Mine is slow to the boil, but once there it is strong and fast burning, like lightening.. I don’t stay angry for long.

39

I usually dont wear any make up when Im not working or at home. But sometimes I love to wear it as an enhancement of femininity. Again, I love feeling pretty.

40

I dont like answering the phone!! I find it intrusive! weird huh!

41

Had my first kiss (peck really) at 9 in the middle of the ocean on a cruise ship on its way to England from Sydney with my whole family aboard.

42

HATE HATE HATE sealed-in hotel rooms with no window that opens, and the horrible recycled air unit that cools or warms the stale filthy air.. Arrggghhhhhhhhh! I always have to move hotels because of this.

43

LOVE LOVE LOVE Hagen Daz Vanilla and Strawberry ice cream... recently discovered Mochi! Bllllrrrrghgrhrgrhghahah (sugar coma!)

44

Dont like talking on a plane, I like to read and be left alone. Dont know why, its just the way it is.. LOL.. So dont be offended if Im seated next to you..

46

47

Im an eye girl... Eyes are the window to the soul.. Better not lie to me, I can see it in the eyes..

48

Loved that UK TV show "Cracker".. Love "House".

49

Wish I could figure out where to settle.. Im a bit of a gypsy..

50

LOVE "Cafe Del Mar" CDs

51

Dont like the the great American love, Cinnamon! YUK! and Pumpkin Spice.. Blllllrrrrghghghghhhherk .. LOL.. In Aussie we LOVE Licorice, Aniseed and Mint and Lemon.. funny how different cultures love different tastes.. I wonder why, what is the story behind it.. something to do with immigrants a hundred years ago bringing in certain spices and flavours I guess..

52

Got my USA drivers license June 2007.

53

I love Labrador doggies and really want one one day when I grow up and have my own house. When I was little we had two goldens at different times, and I managed to convince my parents to call them both Kim both times.. (???)

54

I have written two books, One filled with love-poetry called "Treasues" and one on romantic notions called "100 Romntic Ways", I haven't published either and I wrote them in 1993. Im a HOPELESS romantic.. Wold love to find love again that inspires me to write poetry again.. ahhhhhh...

55

I once dated a king. Dont ask! (no, not Elvis! LOL)

56

I teach meditations and often write custom meditations for people based on the work of Louise Hays. "You can heal your life".

57

One of my fav books is "Ask and it is Given - The law of Attraction". This is the book that inspired "The Secret".

58

I had a deeply religious vision when I was 14, if it was the 13th century I would have either been sent to a convent to become a nun, or burnt at the stake!

59

This was our house number in the first house I ever lived in as a child in Coogee Beach Sydney Australia.

60

My mother and I went to art school at the same time. She had completed 2 years of Fine Arts before she had children, she waited till I was grown (I was the baby) and then went to the conservatory of Music and studied classical composition, and afterwards went back back and completed her Art degree at 60 years of age! Not unusual nowadays, but at the time it was considered outrageous! GO MUM!!!

61

My mother and I had the same operation, on the same day in two completely different countries un-be-knownst to either of us till later.. It was a hyatis hernia and we dont know to this day who had the real condition and who had the "sympathetic" condition! Deeeee doooo daaaaahhhhh dooooooooooo duuuuuummm (Close Encounters music!) Mum and I are clairescentient.

62

I have my own signature perfume called rei.Kii , and another for men called Czar. Both are VERY sexy indeed.

63

I am an advanced level reiki practitioner. I studied it before Id even heard of Farscape. No one knows that! Thats why "Zhaan", my Farscape character, seemed to be filled with Spiritual energy, I channeled it through, that part wasn't acting, it was real! hee hee.. (Sorry if that sounded pompous, wasn't meant to be..)

64

None of the Farscape cast or production knew that I had multiple certificates in natural therapies, Reiki and Lightwork. They didnt ever ask me, it was not ever discussed.. My secret till now!

65

I cant spell.. its a misteree.. hav no idear Y..

66

Mum gave birth to me when she was 41.

67

I was teeeeenie, only 6 pounds.. I SURE made up for being so tiny then..

68

I have fine hair.. My sister got the hair gene, her hair is so thick hairdressers run a mile.. I have big ankles.. to hold me upright I guess.. but I figure if youre fixated on my ankles then youre missing out on the rest of my wonderland of 5ft 10..

69

I am the lightest sleeper and I have not EVER gone to sleep and stayed asleep the whole night. If I ever marry a snorer I'll... well.. I could never marry a snorer, not unless we live in different houses! (hee hee). Actually that’s not a bad idea for a marriage, I rather fancy that.. two different houses, maybe even side by side! LOL That way there will never be arguments about décor or loo seats! And Ill be able to dance around in a facepack and hair rollers whenever I want! Hee hee.

70

My fave commercial perfume (apart from my rei.Kii) is Clive Christian #1. Alas, the price tag is out of this world for we mere mortals.

71

I moved back to LA in 2009.

72

I love chocolate bars, milk chocolate. Im not keen on chocolate cake, chocolate dessert, cookies or chocolate box candy, I only like chocolate in bars. (Not Hershys, it tastse like soured milk) Good ole Cadburys plain milk chocolate bar is my fave.. I LOVE mint chocolate bars too! " After 8" dinner mints are irresistible for me, you know, the square wafers of chocolate with mint in the centre! YUM!!!!!

73

Had a phone stalker this year.. Its extremely disturbing and upsetting and I felt I was loosing my mind with grief and upset.. FIVE calls sent to my phone, all referring to the same person.. really WEIRD stuff.. One day Ill write a movie about it... weird.. weird psycho stuff!

74

Tea is my fave hot beverage, however, drink coffee socially with splenda and soy milk to take the bitter edge off.

75

I eat 6 times a day to stay slim! (144 pounds) Alas, no more Bakewell Tarts and Anzac cookies and Hagan Daz ice cream!!! Its lean protein at each meal, (fish, chicken, red meats, tofu), with natural healthy carbs from veg and fruit, and some grain and dairy.. a really balanced healthy diet.. no more "White Sweet and Deadly" for me (sugar). I have my eating plan on my Facebook page in "Notes" if anyone is interested.

76

I have crystals dotted around my home, love them.. Chunks of real and natural crystal like Rose Quartz, clear quartz, tourmaline, Amethyst, Celanite (looks like moon stone and is VERY good at healing ills), Apophilite and Aragnite.. NO NOT those HORRIBLE little twee anal shiny faceted crystal cats and figures.. aaarrrggghhh, thats torture to an artistic person, (I mean no offense).. its like making me look at children and clowns painted on velvet, or plastic covered sofas, (why do that??????) or frilly teenie Laura Ashley floral print living rooms or plastic flowers... arrrrrggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Sorry, dont mean to be judgmental, just being honest about what my eye doesn't like........ The other eye is more tolerant!

77

Why cant American restaurants put the egg ONTOP of the toast at breakfast.. And what is with the oil-soggy fried potato strings slapped in a huge mountain on the plate smothering it.. I like an egg ontop of a piece of buttered toast for brekie.. and a cup of English Breakfast tea, yes, with milk in it.. NOT lemon..

78

I rarely date.. You see I actually like my own company, so there would have to be amazing chemistry for me to break solitude and partner .. However, a man will have to work hard to catch me, (if there is chemistry) .. it would involve courting me, flowers and grand romance. Im very old fashioned like that.. as he gains my attention and trust I become warmer and warmer, but it takes a while for me to observe before giving my heart, sometimes months as with my current ex, but once I fall in love and give-in it’s a thing of romantic beauty.. but dont betray that honour.. its sacred! It kills me and my balance..

I crave a partnership.. Im complex Im afraid.. But its only because Im observing.. The right man will see exactly how to reassure me, it will be simple to him, and a joy to give me that.

79

Im STILL waiting for someone to write a spin-off of Mad Max 2 so I can be Warrior Woman again... Or, since she is dead, her sister, or daughter... or a cyborg!

80

I had warts on my fingers when I was a kid.. Horrible damn things. They disappeared in time for me to look pretty on teenage dates thank God!

81

I cant sleep with the sheet tucked in at the bottom of the bed, I HAVE to kick it out and free it to make some space for my sausages! LOL.. I cant sleep with both feet contained in the bed in Summer, I have to have at least one foot out of the covers. (???)

I used to smoke 40 cigarettes a day!!!!!!!! I had hypnosis to stop 18 years ago, and now whenever I smell smoke I have an instant profound repulsion. I am EXTREMELY aggravated when people smoke anywhere near me, I value my air and my lungs and resent being FORCED to smoke along with them.. sorry, but thats a fact!

I could NEVER date a smoker these days..

84

I dont like hot hot hot red-hot food.. (hot red/green small peppers), they burn and the sensation is one that perplexes me, why would you not want to taste your food at all and have the only sensation you experience be one of scolding heat frying and burning your GIT.. Sounds like torture to me! I presume that chilli eating is some sort of elitist ego driven pursuit. One upmanship.. who can eat the chillie without flinching.. Id rather stick pins in my eyes!

85

Love the sea air .. and the sound of the waves.. Its like listening to nature breathing.. VERY calming! I have always taken my troubles to the sea to have the soothing sound wash my angst away..

86

I dont take sleeping pills, or any medication for that matter. I try to heal naturally. I take echinacea when Im traveling .. and lots of vitamins. When I get a cold or flu I take Golden Seal along with Echinacea, it is a natural Antibiotic and the only antibiotic that doesnt give me billions of pimples like a heat rash

87

I find that a sleep meditation CD is better than any medication.. (I have my own that I offer at conventions)

88

Love sunsets, very moving to sit and watch them quietly on a beach! The dance of the sky! Best lightshow in town! Remember lightshows? Hee hee.. They would use a coloured oil slide in a projector and shine the moving coloured blobs of light over bands.. whooooo-eeeeeee we have come a long way since then!

89

I miss the yogurt we have in Australia.. Our second language is a combination of Greek and Italian, so we have the BEST food.. The greek yogurt is VERY thick, gluggy and creamy and not thin and slick and shiny..

90

HATE those pants that hip men and boys wear that have the crutch below the knees and the bunched up bottoms that drag on the floor .. Ha ha, I saw a Aussie man who thought he was SO cool and 'rap' at the airport the other day..Bless him.. he had on the hanging pants that expose a foot of the boxers, and have the crutch below the knee and the legs that bunch up at the bottom.. He was late for his plane and had to run... well, LOL LOL LOL, he couldn't run, he was hobbled by his pant's crutch sitting below the knee, so he had to waddle really quickly with very very little staggered steps like a baby with a huge nappy.. VERY stupid! Who on earth ever told guys that girls like the look of all that hobbling and material.. We like to look at a mans legs.. Ahhh..

91

Bright yellow is dreadful on me.. I look green.. I have Scandinavian yellowy gold skin and bright lemon on me clashes.. Bit of trivia for you! Are you bored yet?

92

I LOVE hats.. No not twee girly "day at the races" hats, or "do I look coquettish" black veiled cocktail hats, I like funky earthy golf caps and pull down hats.. Cant explain, Ill just have to show you one day..

93

Marvin Gaye I love you.. "Whats Going on" and "Lets dance" are the finest of all!

94

LOVE Stings and Sade's music. Very Zen..

95

I dont like coloured bath towels or sheets... Only white.. Theres something very clean and fresh about a bright white bath towel and crisp white linen sheets.. I don’t use fabric softner or drying sheets on towels, it makes them too slippery and spongy, I like the fresh scratchy feel of towels dried with no softners, preferably dried in the sun, that’s the best!!! Love white furniture too.. LOATHE SHABBY CHIC! Arrggghghghhhhhhhh...

96

I LOVE nature.. Its the mightiest stress buster that there is.. I love to just sit under a tree with my back against it and let the buzzie energy of nature heal me.. Aaaahhhhhhh.... bbbblllliiiiisssssssssssssssssssssssss

97

India Arie's song "I am ready for love" (from her first album) is one of the most beautiful song Ive ever heard, it really touches my soul. Have a listen, that the REAL me, thats Ginny talking through her............

98

Because I traveled so much as a child, and lived in two totally different yin/yan countries as an adult, England and Australia, my needs for "home" are somewhat polar.. I would love to live on the beach somewhere in a stylish home and walk on the beach in the mornings with the wind in my hair and a doggy romping by my side, away from the mad throng.. (No, not mad thong! LOL) .. But there is also a side of me that loves the city and chic restaurants, art galleries and hip living in the fast lane .. and yet another urge, to live in the English countryside in a manor house with land, apple trees and horses .. No wonder Im such a gypsy, I cant make up my mind where I want to be! LOL.. Im hoping my soulmate will want to gravitate between the 3 lifestyles, just as I would like to.. Im hoping to find a soulmate who can provide me with that lifestyle..

99

I was born 19th June in Sydney Australia. A Gemini/Cancer cusp. Im more of a Cancer now.. I used to be more Gemini in my youth however, but did not ever take on the trait of coldness, fickness or infidelity that Geminis are supposedly famous for.. Im a REAL warm homebody!.. But when Im working, as you know, I can flick into the Gemini spark and dazzle and child-like energy..

My dream is to own my own stately home near the ocean that has french doors that open to a lovely wild English garden .. and to have an artist studio attached to the house.. and to build a meditation centre in the city for folk to come and de-stress at.. My dream! ... So Im hoping that my perfumed products will help me achieve my dream in this land of milk and honey.. God Bless America!

The end.. or is it the beginning!

WHERE I GREW UP
I grew up in both Coogee in Sydney, Australia right by the sea, and in Northwood in Middx, England right next to a common (huge park). I had the best of both worlds to fire this imagination and heart.

FAMILY
I have one sister, 3 brothers, (one passed away). All creative nuts.. All older than me.. All still think Im 10 years old even though im in my 50's!!!.. All still condescending and mostly not supportive of who I am and what Ive acheived, what Im talented at and what I try to acheive. They think Im a useless clown.. (self esteem in pieces over that one! LOL) It STINKS being the youngest.. No wonder I live far far away! LOL..

My dad passed away Jan 2009, he was a retired dentist, an intellect and artist within. He is one of those geniuss that can do anything. He paints, cut gem stones, makes jewellry, built and operates a radio, built houses, fixes anything and invents everything!! he had a very grounded energy, as though his legs were planted in the ground deeply, a safe strong feeling.. Strangely my last boyfriend had the same energy, I often would wonder if dad sent him to look after my heart and take his place as my protector.

Mum passed away, but was also a brilliant artist, writer and philosopher! Hard act to follow! She dissaproved of my career path and was mortifyed that I did not go to University! Sorry mum!!

She ruled us with giant control, so it is a wonder we are not all chronically co -dependant!!! But boy, what a teacher! She was an intense intellectual who was horrified that I did not follow her path.. I chose to rebel from maternal control, as most kids do I guess!

FAVOURITE SUBJECTS AT SCHOOL
I LOVED Science.. And believe it or not, I used to love MATHS! I found it intensly creative.. but later on it became a little too abstract and complex to hold my interest. Recently I studied Bio Chemistry as part of my Naturopathy studies and I found the intensity maddening!

I loved, and still love, Science with a passion. Zhaan, my character in Farscape, and I have so much in common apart from her former life of anarchy..

Art was also a great passion of course, I could express myself with few parameters to fence me in!

I’d love to say that boys were a favourite subject at school, but I was very imature in that area.. I had the names of distant pop stars on my pencil case, but that is as far as I got with boys at that time! It wasnt until I left home that I discovered boys!

4 FAVOURITE PASTIMES:
1. My favourite pastime of all is to walk by the sea’s edge. I’ve always found the sea a calming force, and whenever I’m stressed or sad I go to the sea to recharge my batterys. The sea is also very romantic and musical, it has inspired me all of my life. In fact, I always live near water, it’s my best friend… Oh, a bit of trivia for you = Moving water creates negative ions in the air which produce a calming feeling of wellbeing. Negative ionizers are a must to have in the same room as your computer and television set.

2 . I get such joy from cuddling my 2 cats, I know it sounds corny, but their sweet faces and smiles light up my heart!

3 . Swimming in Summer is one of my all time favourites. Sydney beaches and coves are so beautiful, it’s heaven to wallow in the water and daydream. Whenever I’m sitting in the clear blue water in December I think of all my friends in the Northern hemisphere by their frosted windows. I must admit, and here comes another favourite, sometimes I long for snow on my face.. Those beautiful crystal flakes that dissapear right in front of your eyes the second they reach your body heat..I have a distinct memory of being little and marvelling at the icy patterns and pictures on the insides of our windows at home in England, and wondering in the school yard where the smoke in my breath was coming from when I breathed through my mouth! There’s nothing like the crunch of snow underfoot, the slipery sliding voyage everytime the snow ices up, and a white Christmas!!

4. I love to learn about natural therapies when I can, so far I’ve tackled:
One year, full time, of Naturopathy, Homeopathy and Herbal Medicine, including Bio Chemistry (not my best subject), Botany, Anatomy & Phisiology.
Reiki 1 & Advanced absent healing Reiki 2 and Metaphysical studies. At the end of June ’99 I started a 3 year course every Saturday.

When I grow up, I will move into Natural Therapies more and more, my plan is to be a Naturopath.

PERSONAL AIMS
Well, as you know, Ive gone way past the stage where I was obsessed with trying to flex the pseudo intellectual muscle.. That was 20 years ago when I had to read every contraversial book, debate every issue, and challenge every dissaproving word and gesture… All I aim for now is peace and serenity, and a relationship that is sacred.

My ongoing aim is to learn to find more serenity in everything I do, try to chill out and turn stress and any hurt around to acceptance, (thats a dard one), meditate for self healing and a greater connection with my Highest Guidence, increase self love and self esteem, follow instincts, instead of leading them, turn the other cheek instead of rising to the bait, and the big one that I havent overcome yet…”WHAT OTHER PEOPLE THINK OF ME IS NONE OF MY BUSINESS!”.. That is the hardest one to accept, its seems natural to want to defend oneself to someone who missunderstands you in your life…

HEALTH/FITNESS

DIET
I have posted my eating plan on my facebook page, its on the left in the notes section.

MY Mini lecture: Give up smoking! Do your mind, body & nieghbour next to you a favour!

BEAUTY REGIMES
I’m a moisturising soap and water girl.. Ive used every product on earth, but repeatedly gone back to mild soap & water.. Not harsh soap!! I use moisturiser morning and evenings when I am working, but when Im not working I often forget to apply anything unless it is cold and my skin feels dry..

I must admit that most of the time in Summer I dont put anything on my skin at all.. I guess it naturally finds its own PH and moisture levels. It is not because of some sort of whacky purist ideal.. To be honest, I just get lazy and forget the tedious regime! I also have oily skin in Summer, so that helps!

I adore the ceremony of applying precious oils and salves, but often dont..

A beauty routine is a personal thing of course, and whatever feels good for you, IS good for you!

Drinking tons of water, meditation, eating heaps of vegetables, taking your vitamins, avoiding alcohol and cigarettes and avoiding junk fast food is the secret for beautiful skin! (I love lanoline as lip gloss, and in winter I put a tiny amount on my face at night!)

MOST EMBARRASSING MOMENT
There are thousands of course, but Ive chosen two….One stands out in the public humiliation stakes!

Number one - The Skirt!
I went to a restaurant with some fashion industry people years ago, I was involved in a parade for charity with them. I was still in one of the designers skirts from the show, she very kindly let me keep it on just for the dinner. It was quite beautiful, there were many light-weight layers to this skirt, it was fairly full and very feminine. I get a bit nervous about the way I look, but I thought this was very flattering!

After dinner I popped off to the Ladies Room.. When I was walking back to the table I noticed that everyone was looking at me, I felt very edgy so I put on the “model mask” that I hide behind (A confident expression that just happens to be completely fake, I was always hopelessly shy, but very good at faking bravado!.. I used it on the catwalk in my modelling days also). Anyway, I had no idea why everyone was staring, I thought that it must have been the skirt, it was rather gorgeous!

I got back to the table and all there were laughing at me.. I asked what I’d done that was so funny… They said, “Stand up and look at your !”… I was mortified! One of the many layers had caught in my undies at the back, I hadnt noticed because there were so many layers and I still felt material at the back as I walked… But they were see through layers exposing my undies with the skirt tucked in!!! Horror horror! Of course no ratbag took the time to tell me as I swaned back to the table!

Number 2 - The Thong!

I went to Ibitha, an island off the coast of Spain in the early 80s.. It was a favourite holiday spot! I was living in London at the time, and was craving some sun!

There I was in the water in Ibiza, I overheard two American ladies talking in the water next to me.. One was saying, “Oh my butt is sore, I bought a new thong yesterday and wore it in the surf, it has rubbed by butt cheeks so much, I’m never wearing it again!”… I thought, this woman is crazy, and couldnt wait to tell my friends on the beach what I’d heard.. You see a thong in Australia is a rubber flip flop sandal you wear on your FEET!

I told my friends that I heard a lady say she went swimming with her thong up her butt, and related the story to them… Well, they rolled around laughing at me.. They explained that in America a thong is a G-String!!! I nearly died of embarassment and laughter!!
